“Last night, I endorsed Zohran Mamdani for Mayor of New York City. 

He is now our Democratic nominee — and I will work hard to help him defeat Mayor Adams and the Republican challenger this November. 

While Zohran and I may not agree on every issue, we share a deep commitment to tackling the affordability crisis that’s hurting New Yorkers every day. From rising rents to unaffordable childcare and skyrocketing health care costs, too many families are being pushed to the brink. I believe Zohran understands the urgency of this moment — and I look forward to working with him to meet it head on. 

Leadership requires conviction — but also coalition. It’s not about unanimous agreement, it’s about shared purpose. And Democrats across our state should be able to agree that making New York more affordable is a fight worth taking on together.”
