New York, NY — Today, New York State Senator Jabari Brisport announced his endorsement of Lieutenant Governor Antonio Delgado for Governor of New York, adding a leading progressive voice to the growing, people-powered coalition uniting behind Delgado’s campaign to make New York affordable and livable for everyday people. The endorsement underscores shared values around affordability, housing justice, single-payer healthcare, universal childcare, climate action, and the need for bold leadership willing to protect our immigrant communities and take on entrenched systems of economic power.
A longtime organizer and movement legislator, Senator Brisport has been a leading voice in Albany for housing justice, single-payer healthcare, real climate action, and workers’ rights, consistently challenging entrenched interests and pushing for bold, systemic change. He has also been a leading advocate in Albany for universal childcare, including sponsoring a critical bill to create a compensation fund for childcare workers.
