Environmental and democracy advocates unite behind Delgado’s bold leadership for affordability, clean energy, and climate justice
New York, NY — This afternoon, Food & Water Action and Third Act New York announced their endorsement of Lieutenant Governor Antonio Delgado for Governor during a joint press conference at Battery Park’s Statue of Liberty Lookout. Joined in solidarity by Citizen Action of New York, which endorsed Delgado earlier this year, the event brought together environmental advocates, community leaders, and supporters from across the state to denounce Governor Hochul’s recent approval of the Trump-backed Williams NESE pipeline. Speakers praised Delgado’s moral clarity, courage, and commitment to affordable energy, clean water, and climate justice.
“I’m honored to earn the endorsement of Food & Water Action and Third Act New York,” said Lieutenant Governor Antonio Delgado. “They understand what so many New Yorkers are feeling: that affordability and climate action are not competing goals. They’re the same fight. I’m proud to stand with them as we take on the powerful interests holding our state back and build a future that finally puts people before profit. The fight for a livable planet and a livable New York are one and the same, and together, we will win the fight for a better future.”
Delgado continues to earn growing support from across New York’s grassroots and progressive movements. His campaign centers on building an affordable and livable state through universal childcare and health care, living wages, and a just transition to clean energy — uniting communities around a shared vision of leadership that delivers results, stands up to entrenched power, and puts people at the heart of government.
