Citizen Action endorses Lt. Gov. Antonio Delgado for New York governor in 2026
The progressive grassroots political organization Citizen Action on Tuesday endorsed Lt. Gov. Antonio Delgado in his bid for the Democratic nomination for governor in 2026.
The organization rallied in Syracuse Tuesday on a message of affordability and pushing back on big money in politics.
“Right now, New Yorkers can’t afford more of the same failed politics. We need a leader who will stand up to the ultra wealthy and put working families first,” said Shana Dahlin, Citizen Action of New York board president.
New York Lt. Gov. Delgado slams Hochul over revived pipelines
Over the past few years, New York state has repeatedly rejected a couple of big gas pipeline projects including the Constitution pipeline and the Northeast Supply Enhancement (NESE). Both were denied water quality permits by the state Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC).
One of the NESE project’s denials reads, “The Department denies the 2019 WQC Application based on Transco’s inability to demonstrate the Project’s compliance with all applicable water quality standards.”
